We believe everyone has something important to say.
Reel Insights captures the too-often hidden wisdom of seemingly “ordinary” people and shares these insights to enlighten others. And we do it the most powerful way we know: on video.
We observe. We ask questions. We uncover:
The values, experiences and emotions which guide people.
The ways individuals and families make decisions.
The underlying reasons behind why people do things.
These “things” might seem big (“philosophy of life”) or small (how on chooses what to eat). But uncovering the knowledge that often lays hidden is important – we believe – to the individual, to businesses and to society. Yes, we do have a profit motive, which is offering the insights on video to the business world – usually for market research, but sometimes for website content or some other use.
We believe that bringing the wisdom of ordinary people into the board rooms where decisions are made benefits us all.
We’ve been doing this for nearly a decade under the umbrella of our parent company, Snippies, which commissions journalists to do similar work. We at Reel Insights believe Hometown Anthropologists, participating in our contests, will enable us to dig deeper into the values and moments that define people and families.

We think it’s pretty neat.
